Colorado's Replacement AI Law Is Also Frozen. The Constitutional Arguments Could Reach Every State.
A federal court order blocking Colorado's original AI law explicitly extends to the replacement bill signed in May. xAI and the DOJ have until rulemaking concludes to file a full preliminary injunction motion — and their constitutional claims don't stop at Colorado's border.

xAI Has Until June 11 to Challenge Colorado's New AI Law. The DOJ Already Helped It Kill the Old One.
Elon Musk's xAI filed suit against Colorado's original AI anti-discrimination law in April. Colorado replaced that law. xAI signaled it plans to challenge the replacement too, and the court-ordered deadline to file is June 11.

Colorado's replacement AI law, SB 26-189, was signed on May 14. xAI and the DOJ, who successfully froze its predecessor, are expected to challenge the new version as well. The June 30 effective date of the original law is still on the calendar.
